NHL Star Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Killed by Suspected Drunk Driver in NJ

Police identified the driver as Sean Higgins and charged him with two counts of vehicular homicide.

The brothers were set to take part as groomsmen in their sister Katie ’s wedding to hockey player Devin Joyce in Gloucester City, N.J., on Friday. Higgins, who was charged with two counts of death by auto, was being held without bond at the Salem County Correctional Facility on Friday morning, jail records show. Gaudreau’s team, the Columbus Blue Jackets, called the deaths an “unimaginable tragedy” in a social media post on Friday.
