NHL Player Anthony Richard Takes Skate to the Face in Freak Accident
Philadelphia Flyers hockey player Anthony Richard took a skate to the face during a game against the the New York Rangers
In instant replay footage spreading online, fans can watch the moment the skate hit Richard’s face. On March 18, 2024, former NHL players Konstantin Koltsov and Chris Simon were announced dead in separate instances, the latest in a string of recent passings to rock the sport. Coach John Tortorella also expressed confidence in Richard before the game was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
