New York Pops Clive Davis Tribute to Feature Babyface, Busta Rhymes, Fantasia, Kenny G & More
Clive Davis will be feted by the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall on April 29 at an all-star event featuring Babyface, Fantasia, Dionne Warwick & more.
The New York Pops has announced the lineup for its 41st birthday gala honoring music industry icon Clive Davis. The Soundtrack of Our Lives: A Tribute to the Legendary Clive Davis will take place on April 29 in Stern Auditorium/ Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall and feature guests Babyface, Toni Braxton, Busta Rhymes, Deborah Cox, Fantasia Barrino Taylor, Kenny G, Melissa Manchester, Barry Manilow, John Mellencamp, Ray Parker Jr., Carlos Santana, Rob Thomas and Dionne Warwick, as well as additional stars to be announced later. According to a release announcing the special night of music, the lineup will “showcase Mr. Davis’ immense impact on the worlds of Pop, Rock and Roll, R&B, Country and Hip-Hop through a wide array of musical selections.” It noted that throughout his nearly six-decade career in the music industry, Davis, 91, has won four Grammys, as well as a Grammy Trustees Lifetime Achievement Award and a 2000 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; in 2010, The Recording Academy named The Grammy Museum theatre in Davis’ honor.
