Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks’ guard, has had the whole NBA on notice this past couple of weeks after apparently re-injuring that same sprained right ankle that saw him sit out for an entire month at the end of the regular season. Sympathizers included an anonymous Ninja who simply stated, “Bro stays hurt.” Comments of derision came from a Cabin Guy who quipped, “He’s faking it.” Others stepped up the accusations with conspiracy theories against players who injure themselves on questionable accounts. Los Angeles Lakers account chimed in with “That’s not ankle,” while CentralTexasAg urged caution with “Gotta see the replay, could be nothing.” The latter seems hopeful but given Brunson’s history with this specific injury, optimism might be misplaced.
