Berlin-based sales agency M-Appeal has sold New York erotic tale “Drunken Noodles,” which premiered in the Cannes ACID sidebar and is competing for the Queer Palm, to Taiwan, France and Germany. The film captivates us with its softness and its constant emphasis on desire, drifting between reality and dreamlike fantasy,” added Thibaut Fougères, general manager of Outplay. Castro’s most recent feature, “After This Death,” starring Mía Maestro, Lee Pace, Rupert Friend and Gwendoline Christie, premiered earlier this year in the Berlin Film Festival’s Special Gala section.
