New Doc Examines Hamas Massacre at Nova Music Festival

A documentary on Hama's Oct. 7 attack at the Nova Music festival in Israel will release on Paramount+ this fall.

Hamas gunmen killed around 270 revellers who attended an outdoor rave music festival in an Israeli community near Gaza at the weekend, a volunteer who helped collect the bodies said on October 9. The film will be “told through the eyes of more than a dozen survivors, many of whom videotaped their experiences as the massacre unfolded,” including “footage captured by both the victims and Hamas,” a press release states. Between 3,000 and 4,000 attendees attended the open-air festival in Israel’s Negev Desert, about three miles from the Gaza border, which was timed to the end of Sukkot, a weeklong Jewish holiday.
