New ‘SNL’ Season 50 Promo Teases Return Of Maya Rudolph As Kamala Harris
The first of three snippets contained in a video shared to YouTube today featured a former SNL castmember whose work has again become very topical: Maya Rudolph.
After the first promo for this week’s Season 50 premiere episode of Saturday Night Live leaned heavily into nostalgia, clips released today teased more topical subject matter. The first of three 30-ish second snippets contained in a video newly shared to YouTube featured the typical triptych of host (Jean Smart), musical guest (Jelly Roll) and a castmember (Marcello Hernández). Following the 2020 election, Rudolph has reprised her role as Harris a handful of times including during her March 2021 hosting stint, which earned her another Guest Actress In a Comedy Series Emmy.
