The film’s plot has been largely kept under wraps, although it’s billed as a drama with musical elements set in and around Arkham Asylum. The cast includes Zazie Beetz (returning from the first Joker film), Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey. The first Joker film in 2019 grossed more than $1 billion worldwide to become the highest-grossing R-rated release in box office history.
