New ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ Movie In The Works At Eon Productions And Amazon MGM Studios
Eon Productions is developing a new reimagining of the family classic 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'
Sources say development is still in early stages, with Eon and Amazon execs currently setting meetings with potential writers and directors. Film is being developed with a theatrical release in mind and the project builds on EON/AMGM partnership on Bond franchise. Dana Broccoli was also one of the producers of the Olivier and Tony-nominated stage musical version which included six new Sherman Brothers songs and premiered at the London Palladium in 2002 and the Lyric Theatre Broadway in 2005.
