Netflix’s Upcoming Twisty Sci-Fi Thriller Is Already on My Watchlist — Here's Why
Netflix is about to add one of the best original sci-fi movies of the year. Here's why you need to add it to your July 2025 watchlist
In the last few years, the streamer has released two of the best things I’ve seen — 2024’s The Signal, about a husband searching for his missing astronaut wife, and 2025’s The Eternaut, about a mysterious toxic snowfall that wipes out a city. The sci-fi thriller, about a mysterious brick wall that traps residents in a fancy apartment building, is set to be released on July 10, but the trailer’s out now, and I already can’t wait to watch it. I’m a big fan of claustrophobic thrillers, from 10 Cloverfield Lane to Apple TV+ ’s excellent sci-fi series Silo with Rebecca Ferguson, and this looks as tense and fun as those movies and TV shows.
