The long wait is almost over: Netflix ‘s Ripley, starring Fleabag alum Andrew Scott as the literary con man, will premiere Thursday, April 4 on the streamer with all eight episodes, TVLine has learned. Scott stars as Tom Ripley, “a grifter scraping by in early 1960s New York” who “is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his vagabond son to return home,” per the official description. “Tom’s acceptance of the job is the first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.” The cast includes Dakota Fanning (as Marge Sherwood), Johnny Flynn (as Dickie Greenleaf) and John Malkovich.
