Netflix will drop acclaimed filmmaker Azazel Jacobs’ masterful “ His Three Daughters,” a captivating family drama featuring the stellar talents of Natasha Lyonne, Carrie Coon and Elizabeth Olsen, in the fall movie calendar. Also starring Jovan Adepo, Jay O. Sanders, Rudy Galvan, Jose Febus and Jasmine Bracey, Netflix acquired the worldwide rights for a reported $7 million following its world premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. It joins the roster of other high-profile acquisitions like Jacques Audiard’s “Emilia Pérez,” secured at Cannes, and the highly anticipated adaptation of August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson” from debut director Malcolm Washington.
