Netflix has set "Adolescence" Emmy campaigns for Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Erin Doherty and more.
The series, directed by Philip Barantini and co-written by Graham and Jack Thorne (“Wonder,” “Enola Holmes”), has been praised for its unflinching portrayal of male violence and the radicalization of young boys. His portrayal of a working-class father grappling with the horrific crime his son may have committed has made him an early favorite in what is sure to be a competitive lead actor race. While Graham and Cooper are likely contenders, other supporting categories will see submissions for Ashley Walters (Detective Investigator Luke Bascombe), Erin Doherty (Briony Ariston) and Christine Tremarco (Manda Miller).
