Netflix has picked up an Idris Elba doc about gold, helmed by the Luther star.
Gold: A Journey with Idris Elba sees the Luther star embark on an adventure that explores the precious metal’s meaning, how it has shaped cultures, religions, and entire economies around the world. It will drop on the streamer on July 24 and follows Human Playground, another Elba-Netflix series that saw the actor explore the origins and evolution of play across the globe. EP is Peter Collins and director is Paul Bradshaw, with Colin Byne, Lucy Joyner and Helen Shearer as producers.
