EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has picked up UK rights to Kaur, a short film that debuted last year on British streamers ITVX and BritBox. Kaur bills itself as “the first film in history” to follow the story of a British Sikh woman (Shergill), who decides to wear a turban for the first time against her father’s wishes. As we revealed yesterday, expected among the productions will be The Choice, a thriller series starring Suranne Jones from The Mothership writer-director Matt Charman set in the upper echelons of of the British political sphere.
