Netflix Renews ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ For Second Season
Netflix has renewed 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Indian drama series.
The series follows a power struggle in pre-independent India and features the courtesans who ruled the Heeramandi district of Lahore and a young heir caught between choosing love or succession. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali has intricately woven magic to bring Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar to life,” said Monika Shergill, Vice-President Content, Netflix India. “Watching audiences everywhere fall in love with this series — making it truly their own as a cultural phenomenon — has been hugely energizing and it thrills me to share that we will be back with Season 2.”
