Netflix Makes Broadway Producing Debut With Peter Morgan’s ‘Patriots’

The play is set in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union and chronicles the rise of oligarchs like billionaire Boris Berezovsky (Michael Stuhlbarg) and a little-known deputy mayor of St. Petersburg named Vladimir Putin (Will Keen). Sonia Friedman Productions and Netflix recently teamed up as producers of the London stage play Stranger Things: The First Shadow. In addition to the previously announced Stuhlbarg, Keen and, as oligarch and politician Roman Abramovich, Luke Thallon, the 18-member Broadway cast will include Stella Baker, Ronald Guttman, Alex Hurt, Rosie Benton, Jeff Biehl, Peter Bradbury, Camila Canó-Flaviá, Marianna Gailus, Paul Kynman, Adam Poss and Nick Rehberger.
