Of course, FX is not the basic cable network it was in 2016; it is a brand that crosses over into streaming, with most of its viewing on Hulu where TheBear lives exclusively. The TV Academy didn’t break out by platforms this year after previous controversy, but it’s clear it was a good morning for Netflix and FX and HBO won’t be hugely surprised given some of its powerhouse shows ending and being delayed. Elsewhere, Apple TV+ performed incredibly well with 70 including hauls for Lessons in Chemistry, The Morning Show, Palm Royale and Slow Horses.
