Netflix Data Dump: Spanish-Language Titles Soar As ‘Berlin’, ‘The Asunta Case’ & ‘Society Of The Snow’ Cut Through


Netflix's 'Berlin', 'Society of the Snow' and 'The Asunta Case' are leading a Spanish-language title boom, according to the streamer's new data dump.

Netflix has made Spanish-language content, and specifically originals produced out of its huge studios just outside of Spain ‘s capital Madrid, a major priority in the battle for international streaming subscribers. We didn’t include the Sofia Vegara-starring crime drama Griselda, which was the sixth-most-watched TV title overall, in our analysis as it came through U.S. writer and executive producer Eric Newman’s first-look deal with the streamer. Netflix launched a Madrid office in around the corner from its Tres Canto studio earlier this year, with Diego Ávalos leading the Spanish content team.
