Netflix Co-Founder Reed Hastings Donates $7 Million Toward Kamala Harris’ Presidential Campaign
Netflix's Reed Hastings donated $7 million to a super PAC supporting VP Kamala Harris' election campaign.
Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters serve as co-CEOs of the streaming giant, and Hastings’ title is executive chairman. In January of this year, Hastings donated 2 million shares of Netflix, currently worth nearly $1.3 billion, to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation. The Silicon Valley Community Foundation says it works to “bridge critical gaps and divisions to deliver strategies that reduce systemic inequities” in the Bay Area.
