Netflix bosses say Liam Payne's family approval 'is crucial' to airing new talent show
Liam Payne's final on-screen appearance was recorded in the summer of 2024 and is said to have been a "passion project" for the One Direction star, who died aged 31
The Strip That Down singer had been involved in the show to help guide the judges in finding the talent - with Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean also hosting. A source spilled to The Sun: "Netflix and the production company will meet Liam's family to make sure they are happy with Building the Band airing in 2025." The singers call the shots as they aim to form their dream bands in separate 'booths', relying solely on musical vibes, connection, chemistry and talent."
