Neon Boards ‘Sharp Corner’ Starring Ben Foster, Cobie Smulders, Launching Sales in Berlin (EXCLUSIVE)
'Sharp Corner,' from director Jason Buxton and starring Ben Foster and Cobie Smulders, is being launched by Neon International in Berlin
has added to its growing EFM slate with Jason Buxton’s “Sharp Corner,” starring Ben Foster(“Hell or High Water,” “Leave No Trace”) and Cobie Smulders(“How I Met Your Mother,” “Avengers”). The under-the-radar feature, now in post-production, is based on the short story from Russell Wangersky’s Giller Prize-shortlisted collection “Whirl Away,” and marks Buxton’s follow up to his debut film, 2012’s ”Blackbird,” which won the best first feature in Toronto and picked up the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes Écrans Juniors. “Sharp Corner” joins Steven Soderbergh’s Sundance-bowing “Presence” and Ben Shirinian’s recently announced “The Housewife,” starring Naomi Watts, Tye Sheridan, Michael Imperioli and Norman Reedus, in the Neon Intl.
