Neon Acquires Horror Comedy ‘Hell Of A Summer’ From ‘Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, Billy Bryk

'Hell of a Summer' has been acquired by Neon for U.S. release at a date not yet disclosed. The horror comedy hails from Finn Wolfhard and Billy Bryk.

Hell of a Summer was produced by Hechinger, Aggregate Films’ Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman, Drew Brennan, and Parts & Labor’s Jay Van Hoy. Recently seeing its biggest success to date with the Maika Monroe-Nicolas Cage horror pic Longlegs, which has now crossed $100M globally, Neon has also bolstered its genre cred of late with the release of the Hunter Schafer starrer Cuckoo and Black Bear’s Immaculate starring Sydney Sweeney. Already, the company has gotten back in business with Perkins, C2 and Black Bear on The Monkey, a buzzy adaptation of the Stephen King short story starring Theo James, which hits theaters on February 21, 2025.
