Neil Young Fears He Won’t Be Allowed Back in U.S. After European Tour, Due to Speaking Out Against Trump, ‘Worst President in the History of Our Great Country’


Neil Young posted a statement saying that he believes the Trump administration could bar him from the U.S. while he is away on a summer European tour.

“When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket,” Young wrote. Although it is April Fool’s Day, which renders all controversial posts subject to extra scrutiny, Young’s message is not in jest, falling right in line with other distressed thoughts he has recently shared about Trump. Young’s message Tuesday followed one he posted just the day before, on March 31, titled “I love music, but that’s only half the story,” in which he wrote: “Our rights to free speech are being taken away and buried by our government.
