Neil Young Calls Out Elon Musk & ‘Fascist’ Tesla Owners on New Song ‘Let’s Roll Again’

Neil Young disses Elon Musk and Tesla on a new song called "Let's Roll Again," calling drivers of the electric cars "fascist."

Neil Young performs onstage at Light Up the Blues 7 Concert Celebrating Autism Speaks' 20th Anniversary at The Greek Theatre on April 26, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. On his new song “Let’s Roll Again” released Friday (May 2), the rock star briefly takes aim at the billionaire’s electric car company amid lyrics imploring auto manufacturers such as Ford, General Motors and Chrysler to build clean-energy vehicles that “won’t kill our kids.” Singing a melody that evokes Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land,” Young quips, “If yer a fascist, then get a Tesla/ If it’s electric, it doesn’t matter.” In addition to owning X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX, he’s also the polarizing right-hand man of President Donald Trump, with Musk heading the Department of Government Efficiency created in January.
