Neil Patrick Harris to Host Netflix Game Show ‘What’s in the Box’ (EXCLUSIVE)


Neil Patrick Harris will host a new Netflix game show titled 'What's in the Box,' a guessing game with massive prizes.

As the game unfolds, shifting alliances and unexpected twists mean only those with sharp instincts — and a little luck — will hold onto their winnings and claim victory.” Harris is a five-time Emmy Award winner who is best known for playing Barney Stinson on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” and the title character of ABC’s “Doogie Howser, M.D.” For Netflix, he portrayed the villainous Count Olaf in the television adaptation of “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” And on Broadway, he won a Tony for his lead performance in the rock musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.” His other memorable roles include “Gone Girl,” a guest spot on “Glee” and the “Harold & Kumar” film series, in which he played a fictional version of himself. “What’s in the Box” joins Netflix’s slate of competition series including “Is It Cake?,” “The Circle,” “Squid Game: The Challenge,” “Million Dollar Secret,” “Star Search” and more.
