Neil Patrick Harris paid tribute to his 'Doogie Howser, M.D.' TV dad James Sikking after the actor's death at age 90

An actor whose first credited role was in the TV series Assignment: Underwater in 1961, Sikking eventually gained widespread fame as Lt. Howard Hunter in the 1980s police procedural Hill Street Blues.
