In one of his first big moves as chairman of NBCUniversalTelemundo Enterprises, Luis Fernandez has restructured Telemundo Studios, promoting Ronald Day and installing veteran exec Javier Pons in a key role. Pons, who has decades of production and management experience at major media companies in Spain, Mexico and France, has been named EVP of the studio arm. Day, he added, “has been key in propelling Telemundo to the top with innovative entertainment formats and I am certain that in this new role he will further solidify our leadership position among Latino audiences across all screens.”
