NBCUniversal Starts New Round Of Layoffs As SpinCo Begins To Take Shape
Executives including current programming head Kathleen French are leaving.
Earlier this year, SpinCo named Val Boreland, who was EVP and Head of Content Acquisitions, TV & Streaming for NBCUniversal, as its President of Entertainment. Oxygen also orders a raft of true-crime content such as Cold Justice, produced by Dick Wolf, DeadlyWaters with Captain Lee, and long-running series Snapped. It also led to the departure of the likes of Peacock President Kelly Campbell and Corie Henson, who was EVP, Unscripted Content, Competition and Game Shows, NBCUniversal Entertainment.
