NBC Taps Big Advertisers to Support ‘SNL’ 50th Season


T-Mobile, Allstate, L'Oreal and Volkswagen are among presenting sponsors of the 50th season of SNL

Under terms of the deals, according to a person familiar with the matter, each advertiser is expected to participate in bespoke promotions that could include social-media takeovers or endeavors tied to “ SNL ” talent. For five decades, ‘SNL’ has been one of the most desired properties for marketers, and we are thrilled to have these Presenting Sponsors join us for the 50th anniversary season as we honor this iconic show,” says Mark Marshall, chairman of global advertising and partnerships for NBCU. In March of last year, Lorne Michaels, the “SNL” executive producer, made a presentation in Studio 8H, the show’s longtime home at NBC’s New York headquarters, to around 100 advertisers about what to expect as the anniversary draws near.
