NBC Picks Up Liz & Jeff Astrof Cheerleading Comedy ‘Stumble’ To Pilot
NBC has given a pilot order to single-camera comedy Stumble, from writers/EPs Liz Astrof and Jeff Astrof and EPs Monica Aldama and Dana Honor.
NBC landed the project for developmen t late last year in a competitive situation with a put pilot commitment. Largely ushered in by The Office, the mocumentary style of single-camera comedy remains popular, with NBC’s freshman St. Denis Medical and ABC’s Abbott Elementary as high-profile current examples. Liz Astrof most recently served as co-executive producer on ABC’s Not Dead Yet starring Gina Rodriguez.
