NBC Orders Cheerleader Comedy Pilot From Liz Astrof, Jeff Astrof, ‘Cheer’ Alum Monica Aldama

NBC has given out a pilot order to the single-cam project "Stumble."

The show is described as “A mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer.” The project was originally set up with a put pilot commitment at NBC in late 2024. Both Jeff and Liz Astrof, who are brother and sister, are veteran comedy writers and producers, but this marks the first time they have teamed up to create a series. Previously, it was reported that Tracy Morgan is set to star as a disgraced former football player in a single-cam comedy pilot from Robert Carlock, Sam Means, and Tina Fey.
