NATPE Budapest Sets Dates With U.S. Studios On Board And First Realscreen Collaboration
NATPE’s Budapest event will go ahead in June with U.S. studios in town to sell to international buyers and a Realscreen format strand.
Sizeable studio presence comes as several of the U.S. players embrace the international sales scene once more, having kept distribution activity somewhat on the downlow while programming was being kept aside for their streaming services. The Budapest event traditionally benefited from the U.S. studios holding their own showcases in the Hungarian capital for acquisition execs who did not make the earlier trip to L.A. for the May Screenings — ensuring a healthy number of buyers in town. “As CEE’s most established and influential market and forum for the entertainment sector, it’s vital that we address the trends and issues specific to the region,” said Claire Macdonald, Executive Director, NATPE Budapest.
