The brand-new episode did much to excite the audience with cheers, bafflement, amazement, and outright acclaim-the greater half for bringing a character called Sully into existence. Some viewers went so far as to say what @steelydoz did, calling it ‘one of the most important shows ever made,’ as @vegasryan suggested, urging HBO to just give Nathan Fielder a blank check. @lavacakes called the show “pure horror now.” Which is fair: Fielder has always tread a thin line between comedy and existential dread and this episode seems to have pushed that balance into the far realm.
