Speaking to USA Today, Berkus shared that the couple had formed "lovely relationships" with both of their kids’ surrogates and would be "thanking them forever" for "completing our family." “Jeremiah and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Poppy Brent-Berkus, born via surrogate on March 23, 2015,” Berkus wrote in a Facebook post at the time. "I think as a family, leaving California and bringing the kids back to the West Village in New York City was a huge decision," Berkus said during a promotional clip for season 2 of HGTV's The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project.
