Nat Geo Renews ‘Limitless With Chris Hemsworth’ for Season 2, Sets ‘Shark Beach’ Special With Anthony Mackie
National Geographic has renewed 'Limitless With Chris Hemsworth' for a second season and set a 'Shark Beach' special with Anthony Mackie.
The news came during the network’s presentation at the Winter 2022 Television Critics Association Press Tour, during which “A Real Bug’s Life” was also renewed while greenlights were announced for a new “Shark Beach” special headlined by Anthony Mackie, a docuseries about Stéphane Bourgoin, and a documentary film about Sally Ride. Per its logline, Season 2 will feature “an all-new cast of insects including femme fatale firefly, bachelor luna moth, a real-life assassin bug, the botany bay weevil and other incredible tiny heroes living on our planet.” After an increase in shark sightings in his hometown, Mackie sets out to learn more about these concerning cases from local fishing communities in Louisiana but discovers these human-shark encounters may be pointing to larger environmentalissues across the greater Gulf of Mexico.
