Narcos creator developing MGM+ series about 'fearsome Irish gangs' of 1970s New York

Described as a Peaky Blinders-style show, Chris Brancato is in early development on the MGM+ series, while also outlining a second season of his upcoming show Hotel Cocaine

He serves as general manager of the Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous hub of Miami's thriving cocaine scene of the '70s and '80s. 'To examine this, you want to make a period piece to comment about and I think this offers commentary about today as well,' added Brancato. Narcos, which was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series — Drama, told the story of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura).
