Naomi Watts was spotted on the set of her new movie The Friend in New York City on Monday.
She carried a paper bag from the healthy food chain Sweetgreen and wore dark, square-shaped, oversize sunglasses as she boarded a boat. The film follows a writer who adopts her late mentor's heartbroken Great Dane named Apollo, and the grief she shares with the pet as they both mourn their loss. Both the literature and drama tackle elements of love and friendship, along with the grief and ultimate healing the characters share while establishing their relationship.
