Naomi Watts reveals the 'mortifying' moment she wouldn't stop kissing fellow A-list actor during audition

Naomi Watts has detailed an embarassing audition that left her blushing when a kissing scene went awry.

Watts spent the winter executive producing and starring in Scott McGehee and David Siegel's big-screen adaptation of Sigrid Nunez's 2018 National Book Award-winning novel The Friend alongside Ann Dowd, Bill Murray, Constance Wu, and Carla Gugino. In February, Watts signed on to star as the elegant and charming wife of a potential Nazi officer living secretly in Queens in Ben Shirinian's 1964-set psychological drama The Housewife alongside Norman Reedus, Tye Sheridan, and Michael Imperioli. Naomi will also eventually reprise her role as Nora Brannock in Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan's mystery thriller The Watcher, which was renewed by Netflix for a second season back in 2022.
