Also on the guest list were the couple’s close friends, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and his then-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, who at the time, back in October 2006, lived in north London’s trendy Primrose Hill. The night before the event, during a raucous evening at the Portuguese capital’s Four Seasons Hotel with the likes of Robbie Williams, American rock band Green Day, and television presenter Emma Willis, Chris, I and a handful of other tabloid showbiz hacks had drunk the bar dry.
