Musician Gashi Gets Real About Rap-Country Crossovers
Gashi sat down with Us at CMA Fest to talk all things country music, mixing genres and how he is planning on bringing country home to New York City
Gashi is one of the latest musicians diving headfirst into the world of country music, but the Brooklyn native tells Us Weekly that genre-bending is nothing new for him. Stars like Hayden Panettiere, Kelly Clarkson, Nicole Kidman, and Matthew McConaughey have all stepped out of their comfort zones to get into the Nashville groove. The “Cold” singer also gushed over the love and acceptance he’s felt from some of the biggest stars in country, including Chris Stapleton(“one of the reasons why I started doing this”), Noah Kahan and Lainey Wilson.
