Music Box’s Doppelganger Acquires U.S. Rights on Satirical Thriller ‘You Are Not Me’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Music Box Films’ genre label, Doppelgänger Releasing, has acquired U.S. distribution rights from Global Screen on satirical thriller 'You Are Not Me.'
“Directors Moisés Romera and Marisa Crespo have tapped into an eerie sense of unease that can accompany seeing family after a long absence, and expertly ratchets up the tension to deliver a truly haunting holiday nightmare.” Global Screen’s recent foray into elevated genre includes supernatural survival horror “The Trek,” the upcoming first feature from leading South African cinematographer and director Meekaaeel Adam. The company has also boarded thriller “Sleep,” a debut feature by Michael Venus in which the Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated Sandra Hüller plays a woman plagued by horrific dreams, which become a never-ending nightmare haunting an entire village community.
