Multiple Attendees 'Struck' After Shots Fired at KC Chiefs Super Bowl Parade


Multiple people were reported to have been ‘struck’ during a near the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, February 14

In a series of follow-up tweets, the department confirmed that “multiple people were struck” after shots were fired near a garage close to the event and that they were “still trying to determine the number of shooting victims.” In the aftermath of the shooting, one attendee told a reporter that he hit his face while hopping over a barricade to flee the scene and heard shots both inside and outside of Union Station. Some Chiefs players shared their reactions to the shooting via social media, including Mahomes, 28, who tweeted, “Praying for Kansas City…” Linebacker Drue Tranquill wrote, “Please join me in prayer for all the victims in this heinous act.
