MTV News Is Back (Kind Of) Thanks to the Internet Archive

The Internet Archive has created a searchable index of the old MTV News website, after it was unexpectedly pulled down last week.

After Paramount Global yanked over 20 years of music journalism, the non-profit Internet Archive created a searchable index of MTV News via its Wayback Machine Paramount Global did not immediately return Rolling Stone ’s request for comment on the decision to disable the MTV News site or the Internet Archive’s efforts to preserve all that content. A previously released statement read: “As part of broader website changes across Paramount, we have introduced more streamlined versions of our sites, driving fans to Paramount+ to watch their favorite shows.”
