Molly-Mae Hague has 'anxiety about alcohol and what it can do to people' after witnessing her mum 'turn to drink to cope with her divorce' - as Tommy Fury reveals their shock split was caused by his own booze addiction

The Love Island star, 25, opened up on the period following her parent's split in her 2022 memoir, Becoming Molly-Mae, confessing the first year was 'really, really hard'.

She got candid as she recalled how her mum Debbie Gordon 'really struggled' after the breakdown of her marriage to Molly's dad, Stephen Hague, and 'turned to alcohol to cope'. She wrote that the boxer's desire to have wild boozy nights out with his friends a few times a year caused arguments, as she has 'anxiety around alcohol and the things I've seen it do to the people around me'. Explaining how a large part of his identity was snatched away from him when he could no longer train, Tommy said his diet and fitness were the first things he let slip before he turned to alcohol.
