Mokster Films Expands Into Production With Lester Hsi’s Taiwanese Horror ‘Phantom’ — Cannes Market

At Cannes today, Taiwan’s D-Day Pictures unveiled horror film 'Phantom' with Singapore-based Mokster Films onboard as international sales agent and producer.

Set for theatrical release in 2026, Phantom will be directed by D-Day founder Lester Hsi ( The Bridge Curse, The Bridge Curse: Ritual) and produced by Fiona Hu ( Black & White: The Dawn Of Justice) and Mokster Films’ Nelson Mok ( Red Thread). As eerie phenomena begin to occur, including phantom footsteps, shifting objects, and unseen forces, Youmo uncovers forbidden rituals and buried wartime secrets connected to a sealed cave. “With Phantom, I wanted to explore the terror of what we can’t see, not just as ghosts or monsters, but as the unseen forces in our society, our history and our own minds,” said director Hsi.
