Science Girl went on the Twitter streets lately and asked for what people thought about modern art- and, let’s face it, the answers weren’t boring at all. Then there were just outright criers on modern art: “pointless, clearly untalented humans trying to prove they are talented,” said Lottie, while Nick Slaughter claimed it’s “Just an excuse for untalented people.” Much more harsh was Simon Kett, who called most of it “utter bollox” and even compared it to “the Emperor’s new clothes.” Harsh but, hey, isn’t that what art is supposed to be: subjective? Atif Waseem declared, “It is more to be felt than understood,” which sounds quite deep but then think about that one guy in the video who dumps sand on himself for a living.
