Moby Offers Advice After Trump Win: ‘It’s Not Going to Benefit Anybody to Doomscroll’

"Obviously the election results are terrible and America and Americans have clearly made a really bad decision," the producer said Wednesday (Nov. 6).

On Wednesday (Nov. 6), the producer and activist posted a video of himself outside in New York City, addressing the camera by saying “So obviously the election results are terrible and America and Americans have clearly made a really bad decision, but the question is what do we do now? While many people across the nation are reeling over Trump’s win, Moby advised that “It’s not going to benefit anybody to doomscroll and watch the news and constantly just spiral down into depression… So it might sound like a New Age cliché, but we have to practice self care, we have to eat well and exercise and spend time with people we love and help animals and do anything that keeps us sane and healthy.” Following the election on Tuesday, other musicians including Cardi B, Marc Rebillet, Bette Midler, singer Ethel Cain and 50 Cent have all voiced their both negative and positive reactions to the news.
