She makes her journey in the company of old friends, including her pets Hei Hei The Rooster (Alan Tudyk) and the pot-belly pig Pua. But the one who appears to surprise her most is Maui.
Moana resolves 'to sail to new skies and reconnect our people across the entire ocean' and finds herself swept up in a series of rollicking adventures. As Moana's vessel - a traditional Polynesian boat called a wa'a kaulua - glides gently across the water, she receives a sudden jolt. At the beginning of the teaser, Moana arrives on the shore and blows a long, clear note through a conch, setting the stage for a series of premonitions.
