MLB’s Pedro Martinez Is Missing Family Members After Nightclub Collapse


MLB legend Pedro Martinez shared that his family is affected by the deadly Jet Set nightclub collapse in the Dominican Republic.

Hall of Fame pitcher Pedro Martinez is among the former Major League Baseball players affected by the deadly nightclub roof collapse that happened in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, April 8. Martinez, 53, who is from the Dominican Republic, revealed in a video posted via Instagram on Tuesday that he is missing family members who were at the Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo when it collapsed. “Major League Baseball is deeply saddened by the passings of Octavio Dotel, Tony Blanco, Nelsy Cruz, and all the victims of last night’s tragedy in Santo Domingo,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement Tuesday.
